The Information We Collect:

Your visit to the Region I EMS website is anonymous, with some exceptions.  Region I EMS does not obtain personal identifiable information from your computer.  We do, however, obtain the IP address of your internet service provider whenever you visit our website.  This information is statistically calculated so that we know from which geographical areas our visitors come.  Our web server automatically captures this information.  We do not personally identify your IP address unless requested to do so by law enforcement agencies.

The Region I EMS web server calculates the pages viewed during your visit and the duration of your visit.  We do not, however, receive a report of each individual's website behavior.

Visitors may voluntarily provide information about themselves, including real name, email address, USPS address, telephone number, etc. where requested.  By providing this information, you do so on a voluntary basis.  This information is not required to access the website.

Cookies may be used by various pages within the Region I EMS website.  These cookies do not identify you personally to the Region I EMS staff.  They are encoded by programs used within the Region I EMS website so that they are made difficult to read by us.  Cookies are used to facilitate your visit.  They make it easier to participate in message boards, our training calendar, or our news area.  In these areas, the cookies allow you to automatically log in without needing to enter a password or user ID.  Additionally, cookies may be used by voting programs to register if you have already voted on a particular subject.

The Way We Use Information:

Region I EMS utilizes the information gathered to better serve you.  IP addresses are obtained and statistically analyzed so that we can know where our visitors are coming from.  Your viewing habits on our website allow us to see which areas of our website are most popular.  We do not identify the pages that each individual views.  Instead, we are presented with total numbers of each page viewed, the percentage of visitors who viewed a particular page, and the average length of time viewing the page.

We may at times request personal information from you.  This information, as outlined above, is voluntarily submitted by you.  Region I EMS will attempt to maintain strict confidentiality with the information we obtain.  Region I EMS does not sell, rent, or lease information obtained from our website to any third party, including companies and non-profit organizations.
